‘The Laboratory’ opens in Mumbai and Eden commissions

March 23, 2010

‘The Laboratory’ by Shivani Tibrewala finally opended in Mumbai in March 2010 and got a great reception.

This play, about post-Tsunami illegal drug trials, was originally commissioned by Theatrescience for, and workshopped and read at, ‘Imagining the Future India’ in Bangalore 2007. ‘Bad Blood Blues’ by Paul Sirett first saw the light of day at the same workshop/festival and was performed in London last year so our work is getting out there even when we don’t produce it ourselves. Meanwhile, we’ve just commissioned six new pieces around ‘genetic difference and health’ for performance at the Eden Project in Cornwall (UK) later this year and maybe (one or two of them) London in 2011.
